John Clough (d.1691), a Presbyterian, emigrated in 1635 from England to Charlestown, Massachusetts, and by 1639 had settled at Salisbury, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Washington, D.C., Mississippi, Louisiana, California and elsewhere.
